About Me

For the last 30 years I have been studying many different languages and cultures of the world. For 20 of those years I have been teaching, interpreting and translating some of those languages. My love of languages began as a very young child when my grandmother introduced to me German, the language of her parents. I also grew up with American Sign Language and interpreted that language for several years while in college. I studied Spanish, French and Russian linguistics at Purdue University. I currently own a language services company and work as a translator and interpreter. My goal with this blog is to share my passion for all things related to language with other language students, translators, interpreters, teachers and interested readers. I encourage comments and questions and look forward to getting to know more people who share my passion.
